In a home there are a lot of furniture. Please describe the pieces of furniture shown in the image and comment its functions with your classmates.
With this activity I will try to work with my pupils the listening, writing, reading and speaking skills.

I like this way of introducing vocabulary to students, by showing them a picture. They could be divided in teams and start a competition! The one who wins could choose the next picture. They will love it!

I have checked your blog and I like it! I have stopped in this activity because I think it is great to practice speaking in the classroom. I find it clear and challenging at the same time since the students will have to think about how to make a good description with the vocabulary they have.

I think this is a useful for children to practise with colors and to learn them, too.
And the forniture activity is a good resource to learn and practise descriptions, and of course, to learn vocabulary.
